Ladders can come in handy in many different ways. Small bird ladders can be used inside a cage as a climbing aid, or a great help for handicapped birds. In the case of special needs birds, they can even be used as a horizontal perch which would allow a bird with foot or leg problems to actually rest on the rungs of the ladder making a much more comfortable perch than a "regular" perch. Larger size bird ladders are great to place from the floor to the cage for those birds that accidentally fall onto the floor, or for the birds that like to go exploring, but need to return to their cages.
