Friends of a Feather Aviary has been breeding exotic birds since 1984 and we maintain a very strict environment for the raising of all of our babies. We do not sell unweaned babies. All babies are abundantly weaned onto high grade seed blends, several different pellets and lots of fresh vegetables and fruit. Babies are checked by our local avian veterinarian before going to their new homes. We also believe in allowing our babies to learn how to fly before we begin progressive feather clipping which begins with a "junior" clip and eventually extends to an appropriate feather clip based on the individual bird.

For a list of babies currently available please contact our store at 256-341-0484 Tuesday through Friday between 10:00 and 5:00 central time. We have available different birds at different times of the year depending on the breeding seasons.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not ship any of our birds.

Remember, we do not ship birds, so you must live within driving distance of the north Alabama area to be placed on our waiting list.

We also occasionally have birds available for adoption. If you are interested in being added as a possible foster home or possibly adopting a bird in need, you can drop by the store and pick up an adoption application which we will keep on file. You must live locally to be considered.
